Spent all of yesterday travelling :o( that was a comfy experience, aircon buses my ass!!! and then to top it off once we changed buses me n coop ended up pretty much sitting ontop of each other for 2 hours crammed in next to all the bags at the back!?! Think we got to Koh Lanta about 5.30pm where we were accosted by two women shouting accommodation taxi we help etc..... 50B each (rip off) and she took us down to long beach where she would 'help ' us find accommodation...... drive us to all of her 'friends' accommodation untill we chose sumwhere :os

Nice room 500B except coop had a matress on the floor, we are going to look for sumwhere better in the morning, just wanted to get sorted for the night before it got dark. The beach is long, thats for sure, and quite expensive, we ate a dannys just off the beach nice food quite small protions but cheap beer so we were happy :)

We got up this morning and decided it would be best to hire mopeds for the afternoon, its quite a big island and it seems the best way to get around. Ended up 300B 6quid for 24hours :oD No helmet required? shakey start but we were off, wooooo wicked fun! I took to it like a duck to water (of course) kat was very funny, she cant master the art of turning (or going above 20kph) and coop was being coop and stayed at the back to check kat was ok :) We saw a sign for a cave so naturally we followed it and about 30mins later we were trekking throught the jungle (in our flip flops!!!???) being scared by stories of tiger sightings monkeys and spiders. After walking for about 40mins we reached the cave with our guide he gave us head tourches and off we went..... it was hot, dark and dirty and very tiny (we had a crawl through sum small gaps) but it was pritty fun our tour guide was quite funny and his english was pretty good :) we reamurged about 1.45hrs later and headed back off throught the jungle to our start point, food was deffinatly needed! I took off, got to the top of the hill to check they were both behind me to see kats bike on the floor and her not looking impressed :D quite funny i thought ;) she hadnt even been on it was trying to turn around n dropped it / fell off it DOH!

It was due to get dark soon so i suggested to head back, nope, we kept going :) great we reached a veiw point with a cople of restaurants and decided to take a break (kat wasnt enjoying the corners very much) The food was LUSH i tryed Pad Thai for the first time, noodle, tofu, cashew nuts, lime, prawns n a few other things. Very cheap and amazing!

We started to head back about 7.30pm it was pretty dark but this was when kat decided to find sum confidence n finally pick up some speed!!? :oD YAY! Cheap drink at dannys then bed going to move up the road in the morning, found a room with 3 beds for 400B up early ish to as want to make the most of the bikes :)
